The end...
As our second battle goes on I saw my men struggling I urge then on "yet, countrymen, o, yet hold up your heads!" Later in the day i can see that me and my men won't win this. As me , Clitus, Dardanjius, Volumnius, and Strato stand on another part of the field I decide that my time has come to an end. I call Clitus over and ask him if he would take my life and he absolutely refused saying that he would rather take his own life. I then call Dardanius over and ask him the same thing, he too refuses. I feel as if no one will, I call Volumnius over and plead to him. I tell him how i have seen the ghost of Caesar twice " i know my house is come: i say, he still refuses. I still begging him tell him to take a good look at how things are going that it's not looking good for us. He tells me that it is not a job for a friend. Clitus then comes in and tells us all that we had to flee. I turn to all of them and tell them farewell and how i will have more glory from this defeat than Octavious and Antony will from their victory. I tell them to go and that i will follow. They leave, I tell Strato to stay behind with me. I tell him to take my sword and hold it out while i run into it. He hesitates but agrees. He takes my hand and says "fare you well my lord", I reply with a farewell and run into my sword. My last words before i die are " Caesar, now be still, I kill'd thee with half so good a will."
During the battle..
As i see that me and my men are clearly over powering Octavious's men I tell Messala to ride to Cassius and tell him to give these orders to him , to tell them to come down and unite our armies and finally end this whole thing. As me and my men depart i get word my friend Cassius has been killed. We make our way and there Titinius's body lay Cato screams "he is slain". Then Cato spots Cassius's dead body. I then went down and promised his dead body that he will get a proper funeral. Then I tell my men we shall continue and try a second fight. And then we all set off for battle yet again and maybe for the last time.
Before the battle..
After as few weeks Me, Cassius and all of our troops arrive at Phillipi as we approach Octavious and Antony i say "words before blows; is it so countrymen". Antony answers with a few things then says "long live! Hail, Caesar". Us three generals sat there and did quite a bit of smack talking to each other. Saying how the other would not win, how Cassius had not changed his foolish ways. Then Octavius and Antony leave followed by their army. Before we leave Cassius says to Messala how today the day he was born first day he took his first breath was going to be the day he took his last. How as we were marching to Phillipi there were two mighty eagles flying over them "gorging and feeding from out solders hands", and that this morning in place of those eagles were raven crows and kites, all signs of death. Cassius then turned to me and says that if we do lose this would be the last time that we would talk. I say to him that unlike my father even if i lose i wouldn't go and kill myself. But my pride would force me to commit suicide rather than be paraded though the streets of Rome. Then i say to my good friend Cassius farewell and if we shall meet gain we shall smile. Then we both head our separate ways.
Seeing a ghost?
After talking to Cassius and agreeing that instead of just waiting for Antony and Octavious to come to us we would take our men and march to Phillipi to battle. I then went into detail about Portias death to Cassius and Messala. It came as a shock to the both of them as if they hadn't expected any of it to happen. I then dismissed everyone and i tried to get some sleep i had my one servent play a tune for me. I saw that he was getting sleepy so i let him sleep. I then dozed off and was awaken by what seemed like the ghost of Caesar. He had told me that he would see me yet again at Phillipi. I wake my men and ask them if any of them had seen what i had seen but all of them replied the same, they had not.
Arguing with my friend...
In my tent Cassius and I argue about how i commended Lucius Pella for bribery after Cassius had told me to just drop the whole thing. I just couldn't drop it Lucius Pella deserved everything he had coming. The fact that Cassius was defending him made me mad because at the same time Cassius himself had an itching pal, taking bribes, being greedy. I told him how he should stop being greedy and taking bribes because he was one of the people who helped in the murder of Caesar and that he himseld said that he did it "for justices sake". He tells me that he's holding back his temper only because it's me who's accusing him, that he would of killed another man if he had insulted him the way I was. The i brought up the fact that he failed me by denying me money for my troops when i asked him. And of course being Cassius he denys everything then breaks down, whinning about hoq i his only friend have turned against him. He offered me his dagger and being all dramatic offers me his life. I couldn't do it, he's the only person i have left. I told him i spoke out of anger and didn't mean any of it. We then hug everything out. Then I decide to tell Cassius that Portia is dead.
My tent
After about a year and a half since the death of Caesar Cassius and I prepare for war in Sardis. After all of the madness we had to escape from Rome to avoid death. Since Antony and Octavious Caesar now ruled Rome it was not safe for us to be there. As I'm just hanging out in my tent i see Lucilius arriving up from Cassius's camp. He says to me that Cassius seems different, that he's being polite but not friendly, as if something is bothering him. After talking to Lucilus Cassius comes with his officers and immediately starts yelling. and accusing me of not being loyal and betraying him.I told him that i wouldn't talk to him until we go inside my tent away from everyone whuere we could be alone and so that the troops wouldn't hear us arguing. I didn't want my men to see us fight and think that little things could cause us to fight and that were weak leaders. Leaders that can't even get along.
After the killing...
After we all killed Caesar we saw that the people of Rome are going crazy. So as everyone gathers outside i decided that i will make my speech and after-ward's let Antony will give a few words about Caesar. But he was not allowed to say anything bad about us. I stepped outside and began my speech. As I'm starting i see that the crowd was willing to listen to what i had to say. I told them that i loved Caesar but i loved Rome more, that the reason as to why i killed Caesar was because he was to ambitious for Rome. He wouldn't of done Rome any good. They all started to agree with me and as i saw tat happening i asked them if i had offended anyone with what i had done and that if i had i would take the dagger used on Caesar and use it to take my own life. The response they gave me was " None Brutus none". I had got their approval and was i could see every Roman there was on my side. As my speech came to a conclusion i asked the public to stay and listen to what Antony had to say.
